Client Spotlight: The New York Virtuoso Singers & The Canticum Novum Singers Founded in 1988 by conductor Harold Rosenbaum, The New York Virtuoso Singers has become this country's leading exponent of contemporary choral music. Although the chorus performs music of all periods, its emphasis is on commissioning, performing and recording the music of American composers. The Canticum Novum Singers, hailed by critics and audiences alike, is now in its 36th exciting season under the direction of its founder, Harold Rosenbaum. During the past 35 years, this chamber choir has achieved both national and international recognition for its stylistic versatility, vocal blend, and expressive range. We recently designed a unified look for all of the marketing materials for both of these ensembles, including websites, brochures, postcards, and business materials. At the Chamber Music America conference, our President, Kathy Shepard, was also on the panel "Virtual Becomes Reality: Building Community Through Technology," with composer and publisher Alex Shapiro and pianist/composer Billy Childs. In this session, we discussed how the Internet has given all of us the possibility of 24/7 presence in every country in the world, and shared with the audience our strategies and recommendations for building vital communities that lead to more clients, fans, opportunities and income. From the myriad ways to maintain a consistently effective web presence to the tools needed to cultivate professional relationships, this frank conversation offered insights and information that could be put to immediate use by every attendee.
